The Northwoods League had an existing web presence but were looking to consolidate technology, optimize user experience, have more flexibility with adding features but most importantly, they wanted to create a stronger ROI.
DKS Systems worked diligently to understand Northwood’s vision and business goals. We identified roadblocks, documented processes, and crafted a solution that was the foundation for our strong partnership.
The home run objective for the new ecosystem was to fully integrate online and offline game day ticket sales. Selling tickets online for one stadium is a piece of cake; selling tickets for 20+ stadiums is a serious undertaking and required seat selector modeling for each stadium so purchasers could select their seats of choice, all within the allotted time.
Next up to bat was ticket scanning and we scored a major home run by adding barcodes to tickets that hand scanners could read. It also required custom integration with Google Cloud Print for real-time printing of tickets.
All of this technology sat within a carefully architected custom .NET e-commerce platform that would provide Northwoods the flexibility they were seeking for future enhancements.
Each team now can sell tickets by seat via their website, providing Northwoods with the strong ROI they were seeking. A separate stadium view was also created for the Northwoods front office to use for box office sales.
We have gone on to integrate ticketing sales with a custom CRM, allowing Northwoods to interact with corporate clients and generate contracts for corporate tickets sales. Another ROI win for our client!
As you can imagine, this system generates an enormous amount of data so to keep performance at its best, a data warehouse with reporting and tracking was developed.
