The Manufacturers Alliance, a renowned provider of practical peer-to-peer education, training, networking and resources for manufacturing companies and professionals, needed nimble, knowledgeable help to update and keep their website running smoothly after the departure of their developer.
Originally developed using the open source framework Ruby on Rails, this complex site needed to easily and seamlessly allow users to enroll in membership, register for newsletters and events, access account information and more…for tens of thousands of people from hundreds of different companies.
While Manufacturers Alliance was generally happy with the site’s overall functionality, it was running on an out-of-date version of Ruby on Rails and required an immediate upgrade.
With the basic foundation of the site updated, DKS identified and collaborated with Manufacturers Alliance on various site features and enhancements to improve its overall functionality and usability, including converting the site to be mobile responsive.
Under the strategic, interactive guidance of DKS, what started as a good site quickly grew into a user-friendly, responsive and streamlined experience for members and staff of Manufacturers Alliance. DKS continues to provide ongoing development support and assistance.
After losing our developer, we needed a company to continue our development efforts on the Manufacture’s Alliance member website. Due to the complexities of the site, we were looking for a long-term partner who could not only provide technical expertise but would be our “go to” technology partner.
