The ReadyPortal Solution gives customers the ability to create an unlimited number of web destinations for any type of end use. These web destinations can be standalone or linked in a hierarchy structure of unlimited depth and breadth.
The ability to create networks of "sub-portals" in a hierarchical structure is especially compelling for large, distributed organizations with many branches, affiliates and/or departments where each sub-unit has a need for its own communication, collaboration and marketing tools. Any sub-organization in such a hierarchy can develop their own professional web destination with the ReadyPortal platform. Each of these web destinations will have access to the full application suite and capability set of ReadyPortal and can be of unlimited size and complexity. Settings also exist to enable administrators of "parent" sites in the structure to have as much or as little control over sites junior to them as they desire.
Inheritance Enables Syndication Across Your Portal Network
A key feature of the ReadyPortal's "sub-portal" feature is inheritance. This refers to a sub-unit or "child" site's ability to inherit content, look/feel, control policies and site structure from sites senior to them in the hierarchy. "Child" site control of the inherited elements (content, branding, control settings, site structure) can be as rigid or flexible as the "parent" administrator chooses.
