Knowledge Management
A variety of knowledge management resources are available to facilitate greater productivity and collaboration. Primary applications include document management and web link library management tools. These applications enable the creation of a folder hierarchy of unlimited depth and breadth that provides efficient and structured storage of documents and web destinations. Extensive options also exist to enable the appropriate level of access.
Traffic Reporting
A traffic reporting application is built into the interface of the ReadyPortal platform. Utilizing WebTrends' Enterprise Reporting Server, web site traffic is monitored and recorded, allowing for the capture of relevant usage metrics. Sample information collected includes most popular pages, session times, view times per page, and unique visitors. A wide variety of additional reports can easily be customized.
Search
A variety of search capabilities are built into the ReadyPortal platform, including general site search and advanced search within specific features. The site search feature allows users to find information located anywhere throughout the portal. Specialized advanced search capabilities expedite the information search process for content rich features such as the vendor directory, classified marketplace, and calendar.
DKS' search functionality allows for structured and unstructured data searches. Metadata tags can be added to content to facilitate enhanced search engine performance. DKS uses XML to index unstructured content that is entered into the content management system, which in turn is accessed by the searching mechanism. Searchable tree structured link directories, including the DMOZ open source group directory repository can be created, customized, and maintained for individual portals or networks of portals.
